A Vision for the North
Schoonen & Baber is working to make Northern BC a better place to be. By advocating for improved transportation connectivity, environmental stewardship, economic development and housing policy; we aim to support a more equitable future for the North.
With a focus on connecting key decision makers with community voices, as well as supporting local advocacy groups in pushing for home grown policy and solutions, we strive to ensure that the region’s future is shaped by those who live here.

Our main base of operations is in Prince George, but we operate across all of Northern British Columbia.

BetterNorth is an advocacy group pushing for better planning practices across Northern BC. Our scope includes but is not limited to transportation, the environment, community planning, economic development and housing. By speaking with, educating and connecting community members with decision makers, we deliver outcomes that legitimately benefit Northern BC.

Northern British Columbia is often overlooked both by provincial and federal politicians. Not only is this a challenge, but policy solutions for the rest of the country oftentimes do not work here. Northern BC needs unique, self made solutions to its challenges. BetterNorth is working to fill this gap.
